Retired Precious Moments Figurines

Precious Moments Figurines

Precious Moments Figurines have touched our hearts and put smiles on our faces for over thirty years now and it is hard to imagine that Sam Butcher could imagine the impact that his Precious Moments Figurines have had on thousands of lives around the world. The first year that Sam created these figurines, he had designed posters and religious artwork previously, was 1978 and by the end of that year there were just 21 Precious Moments Figurines available. Move forward thirty two years to today and there are well over fifteen hundred figurines that have been released!

Imagine if you will that you are able to to travel back into time and are able to buy each of the figurines as they were released, even the Limited Edition ones, and had kept them in pristine condition all this time. The value of your collection would be worth thousands of dollars and the memories it would have supplied for you and your family would be priceless!

We have created this site to bring together as many Retired Precious Moments Figurines in one place as possible. We have separated each of the Retired Precious Moments Figurines into the year that they were first introduced. We are aware that many of them were produced for a number of years but we felt it was the best way to categorize them for you, our visitors!

We encourage you to take a look around and view our huge assortment of Retired Precious Moments Figurines. If you are ever in the heart of the country I suggest that you take a few hours and visit the Precious Moments Park located in Carthage, Missouri. It is a vast park that includes the inspiring Precious Moments Chapel. While the chapel is the main attraction, the Grounds are beautiful! The gardens are full of fabulous flowering plants and trees as well as large statues of figurines. My favorite of these statues is the one that depicts Sam Butcher, Gene Freedman and Fujioka-san all sitting around a table designing some of the first Precious Moments Figurines. Another one of my favorite spots in the park is walking down to the peninsula that juts out into Sinners Creek, out on that peninsula you truly feel surrounded by God as the creek slowly meanders by and the rustle of leaves in the trees puts you at ease before the Lord.

  • Sam:

I found a Presious Moments at a thrift shop and I am confused it has a date of 1977 on it. Yet I didn’t think that they started until 1978? It is called “Heal the World” With a little boy with a stethoscope and a globe of the world, the world has bandaids on it. Can you give me any information about this?
